Retrospective Cédric Klapisch

The second retrospective is dedicated to our guest of honour. After Peter Greenaway, Bertrand Tavernier, Alan Parker, Jacques Doillon and Volker Schlöndorff, it’s now Cédric Klapisch who will give a film lesson before launching the retrospective of his work starting 16th of June.  A chance to (re)discover «When the Cat’s away» or «l'Auberge espagnole» in Cinematek. The film lesson will be hosted by André Buytaers, chairman of the Association des réalisateurs et réalisatrices francophones (ARRF).

Cédric Klapisch wrote and directed in particular L'Auberge espagnole, Russian Dolls, Paris and also adapted the play Un air de famille by Jean-Pierre Bacri and Agnès Jaoui, which was awarded several times at the Césars. Another film, Le Péril Jeune, has acquired a cult status today, and launched the career of actor Romain Duris, who became one of the stars of French cinema. During his visit to Brussels, Cédric Klapisch will also present his last film Back to Burgundy/Ce qui nous lie starring Ana Girardot.
